Schoology for Students
Schoology is where UPrep runs most of its coursework — assignments, due dates, grades, and course materials all live there.
Finding Your Courses
Your courses show up in two places:
- Courses menu (top of the page) — a quick drop-down list. It only shows your first 12 courses; if a class is missing, see What do I do if my course list is too long? for how to reorder or search.
- Course Dashboard (your Schoology home page) — shows all of your courses as tiles, which you can drag into any order you like.
If your Schoology homepage has a Student Assignments tab, that's another place to see all of your assignments across courses in one list — not every school has this feature turned on.
Calendar and Upcoming
Your Schoology home page includes a Calendar and a To Do widget that pull together due dates across every course, so you don't have to check each class separately. See How do I know the dates for upcoming assignments and tests? for both places to look.
Submitting Work
If a teacher has turned on electronic submission for an assignment, you'll see a place to upload or submit your work directly on the assignment page. If they haven't, follow whatever in-person instructions your teacher gives — Schoology may still show the assignment and due date even when nothing is collected online.
Feedback and Grades
Grades and comments from your teacher show up in the Gradebook, and sometimes directly on your submission. See Where can I see my grades? for where to look, both per-course and across all courses.
If you see a flag (like Missing, Incomplete, or Exempt) next to an assignment instead of a score, see Gradebook Exceptions (Flags) for what each one means.
Notifications
Schoology can email or push-notify you about new grades, due dates, and messages. Check your notification settings in Schoology if you're getting too many emails, or too few.
Mobile App
Schoology has apps for iOS and Android, in addition to the website.
