Programs, Teams, and Clubs

VEX V5 (Upper School)

VEX V5 is a highly competitive robotics program, with Washington State being a particularly advanced region. The best teams compete at State, National, and Worlds after earning points in regional competitions. Teams meet after school Monday-Thursday in the ULab Makerspace, and are also welcome during club days in Community Time.

US Community Time

The ULab Makerspace is open nearly every CT period where clubs or study hall is available. While it may seem like a robotics-heavy place at time, we welcome all students that want to use any of our tools, including 3D printing, t-shirt making, and the flight simulator.

VEX IQ (Middle School)

VEX IQ is a competitive and educational robotics program. We meet in the Middle School Makerspace after school 4 days a week - Monday-Thursday. Competitive teams participate in regional competitions with other schools and VEX programs. The game changes every year with new challenges for programming and engineering. We also offer a Casual program, where students can join once or twice a week after school on Tuesday or Wednesday. These students build similar robots at their own pace without worrying about competitions, and can participate in other after-school programs like sports at the same time.

Middle School Makers Club

Makers is one of the only clubs led by an adult instead of a student. This is due to all of the advanced tools and techniques we show students in this club. Makers Club includes time with CAD, 3D printing, LEGO Robotics, Minecraft EDU, VR, jewelry, Hummingbird circuits, and word woorking.
