PowerBuddy and AI

Schoology now ships PowerBuddy, an AI assistant built into the platform — it can appear as a named assignment option, and (where enabled) support student chat and content generation from PDF/Word uploads.

PowerBuddy is off entirely at UPrep. It is not enabled for any role or grade level. If you see a PowerBuddy option appear anywhere in Schoology, that's unexpected — let June know.

This is separate from UPrep's general policy on AI tools, which still applies to any other AI text- or image-generation tool students or faculty use for coursework — see the AI Ethical Use Policy in the Technology Use Guidelines.
